Dr. Cohen combines over 20 years of clinical experience with his western training and specific native healing techniques learned during his studies in China, India, Sri Lanka, the Amazon and Tibet.
All treatments are administered from a Mind-Body perspective. Patients are thoroughly educated about their problem so that their mind becomes an active partner in their healing process. This is accomplished in many ways ranging from simple techniques such as looking at pictures or diagrams of areas in need of care to more involved visualization work.
Many patients comment that they have found relief in our clinic after years of unsatisfactory experiences with other treatments. We feel this is due to the time we spend educating patients and the thoroughness of our examination and treatment procedures.
Dr. Cohen earned his bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto. He then completed his Doctor of Chiropractic degree and began a combination of work and study of native healing traditions around the world.
He received his Acupuncture diploma from the Kalibowila hospital in Sri Lanka, and over the next 18 years continued to study native healing techniques in Indonesia, China, India, the Philippines, Tibet and the Amazon.
He is the acting director of Workplace Health Services Inc. and an ongoing guest lecturer at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College on Mind-Body Healing research.
Dr. Cohen is consistently highly rated as an academic and corporate lecturer who believes our self-healing abilities are vastly underutilized to the detriment of patients and health care systems worldwide.
His first hand experiences with different healing traditions around the world have helped to create the unique insights behind his self-healing strategies.
Dr. Cohen developed and patented the Acuball©, a self-healing tool used by professional athletes, hospitals and rehabilitation clinics to release muscle and joint pain.
He has written a companion book which teaches patients to help heal themselves entitled: Feel It? Heal It! Relieve Your Pain Naturally ISBN: 0-9736565.
